In early 2009, I took a job that required I make presentations to groups of people on a regular basis. In order to succeed, I knew I would need to overcome my fear of public speaking. My first idea was to look online for solutions. I found

amen
eventhough chickens are yummy still i like ur speech !
anthropomorphic emotive appeal. I would hope my students wouldn’t stoop to this
hahahaha…… chickens
wow! Chickens! I was thinking some kind of sick torture, you know back in the day!
i got suspended from school for 5 days cause i told the principle to s.t.f.u. HAHAHA! (he is a fuckin dick) so i have to watch this video, cause i dont know what the fuck to do!
I want chicken… mmmmm:)
How do chickens get driven for HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of MILES!! They would all be DEAD…. lol…
i hate this kind of video i am immigrant who want to know how to write an essay is it impossible to find a nice person who can help us out to write god dam it
Why do you consider it bad/stooping? Certainly, if this is all your students ever tried, it would not be good; however, if it’s one type of speech in their arsenal, then it’s fine. I thought that this was a good opening and certainly captured my attention. The speaker’s method is worth trying on people who don’t care about animals – she needed to develop pathos through a bit of trickery. If the rest of the speech goes well, likely the audience will forgive her.
Excellent presentation…If you can look beyond the subject matter and listen to the big, flamboyant words at various positions as well as increasing volumes then, you can understand their techniques.
Obama probably learned his speaking style from her….(look up the techniques Pacing and Leading)
Not bad!
Ok, here is what I would say. Imagine meat in front of you and imagine how it got to you. Imagine it was stressed out, tortured and you going to eat this meat. Can you say the meat is healthy? Can you think if you meat it you will feel ok, and you are not going to be crammed with tons of stressed out meat. It so pity that I have only that option. It is too bad that I am so poor that I had to eat such kind of meat.
lol you are one fucking idiot
@SophistAtheist oh yeah? well you people are a bunch of fuckin nerds!
Indeed, I mean, what kind of moron doesn’t believe in an imaginary being, right ?
That was really good but now I think I may never eat meat again….
A bit too long for an intro, but a good example.
This speech is awful! It’s not creative or well written – it just relies on “death and feces” to support the thesis. I can’t imagine why this speech would ever be useful or persuasive outside a lobbyist convention.
this is a truely crap speech
the wording is really bad and makes her sound really dumb
the paragraph is not right for an introduction
and really it did not help me at all in my efforts to write a GOOD persuasive speech
@guestlistent
slippery slope!
not really…i mean i forgot that this was only an intro buh i think it was realllyyyy good i mean i was confused about what she was talking about until she said the billions of chickens part.. and ya’ll who can’t ‘preciate it shudunt watch these video’s cuz ya’ll cant respect ppl’z help…..really she didn’t have to do this video to hel ya’ll but she did..and it was good…..i liked it…just i still dunno how to write my speech =(
Good speech, but what shes talking about will never happen because they are just chickens. There are more people in the world who would say “they are just chickens” rather than “oh your right we need to save them”.
I thought you were talking about people until you mentioned chickens
@elizascott1995 Your language seems poor also.
