In early 2009, I took a job that required I make presentations to groups of people on a regular basis. In order to succeed, I knew I would need to overcome my fear of public speaking. My first idea was to look online for solutions. I found a really good training program that outlined what I needed to do to have a better speaking voice, and more effective presentation skills. After practicing the techniques, my confidence grew, and I started making good presentations. As a result, I moved into a new job that pays more and gives me better responsibility. This site is my chance to share what I learned!

Engage your audience…don’t stare at one area of the room pan head form left to right from time to time…don’t talk in monotone…be concise…don’t stare down at notes or visual display..don’t stand like a stiff board… use arm and hand motions at least…don’t drink to much coffee before…learn to relax…maybe take a Toast Masters seminar if you do a lot of public presentations.
